2013 "FRIENDS FOR LAWSON" GOLF TOURNAMENT

Friends Sports Bar & Grill is hosting its third annual golf outing on Saturday, May 11, 2013. We hope all our friends, family and customers can come out and enjoy the festivities.

Last year 108 golfers attended and the proceeds went to The First Presbyterian Church, Belmont, NC “Youth Group” in memory of Lawson Maness who passed away in July of 2011. Lawson was one of the daughters of our friend John Maness. John started the "Lawson Maness Foundation" to help local church youth continue their progression into adulthood by providing the needed monetary funds to expand on their good deeds for others. Lawson was a huge contributor to the organization and we feel it only fitting to keep her and her beliefs going strong in our community. Funds are also donated in benevolence to the community and special needs individuals.

FORMAT: 4 man-Captains Choice. Lunch is included with golf. The Tournament will be played at Green Meadows Golf Course in Mount Holly, NC. Due to the success of last year’s outing and expressed interest by people who were not able to play due to volume limitations, we will have two tee times, 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

There will be a ceremony after the tournament in the LOFT at FRIENDS for presentation of the winners' trophies, prizes and raffles. Guests are welcome to join the festivities. Light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available in the LOFT.
